fine art portraiture
It’s been a hot second since I’ve hopped on here to write, and quite frankly, I miss it! I typically don’t have a lot of time in the summer months to shoot and blog about what I’m shooting on top of having another full-time job. However, during these cold, snowy, gloomy winter months it gives me the perfect opportunity to share a little bit about the faces that have graced the front of my camera and the stories that have come with them!
I love looking back through my sessions and reliving them, especially the ones photographed on a hot summer evening (like this one!). This “sister session” is definitely one of my favorites from 2018. Kayln & Ellie have been such dear friends of mine for many years! When my family and I were living in Lexington, Kentucky, we were neighbors and during the summers we wouldn’t go a day without seeing each other. Typically our summer days were spent riding our horses for hours every day preparing for the upcoming show season, or we were in the pool, making silly videos, building forts, camping out in the backyard “just because” etc. Since then, my family and I have relocated back in Michigan, but I’m so grateful I still get to see these girls once or twice a year!
Enjoy this little peek into their session!
